Fiestas Patrias 2023

A few images from the Fiestas Patrias parade in South Park. If you're like me and didn't grow up with this celebration taking place in your town, Fiestas Patrias celebrates national pride, independence and the vibrant culture of Mexico and takes place during National Hispanic Heritage Month.

Dailey and I love to go and cheer on the students he teaches who are usually in one of the groups walking the parade. Its such a beautiful celebration and I always think about how many proud mamas, dads, aunts, uncles and grandparents are watching their children keep their culture alive. It's really sweet to witness and experience.
